Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website and contacting me for services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

2. Services Provided

I offer freelance web development services including, but not limited to:

• Custom website development using Next.js, React, and Spring Boot.
• Website redesign and performance optimization.
• SEO improvements and mobile-responsive design.
• Full-stack web application development.

All services are provided on a project-by-project basis unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide clear and accurate project requirements.
• Respond to communications in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
• Provide all necessary content (text, images, branding) in the required formats.
• Make payments as agreed upon in the project proposal.

4. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment for a project, all rights to the final delivered code and design are transferred to the client.

• Before payment: I retain full ownership of all work.
• After payment: You own the final deliverables.
• I reserve the right to include the project in my portfolio (unless explicitly requested otherwise).

5. Payment & Refund Policy

A 50% upfront deposit is required to start any project. The remaining 50% is due upon final delivery and client approval.

• Refunds are not provided for work already completed.
• If you cancel mid-project, you will be billed for the hours already worked at the agreed hourly rate.

6. Project Timeline

Estimated timelines are provided in the project proposal. Delays may occur if:

• Client feedback is delayed.
• Additional features are requested mid-development.
• Unforeseen technical challenges arise.

I will communicate any delays as early as possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

My services are provided "as is". While I strive to deliver bug-free, high-performance code, I am not liable for:

• Loss of revenue or data due to third-party platform failures (hosting, domains, plugins).
• Issues arising from modifications made by other developers after handover.

In any case, my total liability is limited to the total amount paid by you for the project.

8. Confidentiality

I take your privacy seriously. I will never share your business ideas, sensitive data, or proprietary information with third parties.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be handled amicably through communication first.

10. Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the site or services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
